2021 Symposium Canceled 

The 2021 Mid Atlantic Woodturners Association Symposium planned for 9/24 – 26 Has Been Cancelled. Please Plan to Rejoin Us in 2022.

After a great deal of discussion and review, the Board of the Mid Atlantic Woodturners Association has come to the conclusion that we cannot in good conscience hold the planned 2021 Symposium in Lancaster, PA this September. While we all hope that the pandemic is no more than a bad memory by that point, the amount of advance planning and preparation has to be done early in the year, leaving us limited opportunity to put on a quality event, with no real sense of what options may or may not be available to us in the fall. Based on current projections, the ability of the Lancaster Marriott to safely accommodate a show of our size would be cut by nearly 80%.  This leaves us with a show that would be far short of the experience attendees have come to expect. 

We have been fortunate that the Lancaster Marriott has been an excellent partner in this, and we look forward to bringing back the high caliber show you have come to expect on the weekend of September 23-25, 2022.  We appreciate your past support of our Symposium, and look forward o seeing you again in 2022.  Additional details will be provided as we move ahead.
